4 Free Google Tools to Increase Your Website Traffic in 2022
My personal secret hacks to generate consistent traffic
The first challenge to having an online business is the ability to be consistent with churning out content. In fact, content makes you stay relevant in the online space. And you do not want to create contents which people do not read or see. However, it could be daunting to sit down and second guess the things your audience would want to read. I have been there before and I realize this, really.
After creating your content, the next tussle is how you will drive traffic to your online space. This is a big challenge that makes many online marketers give up even before they can benefit from their space. But just like any venture, there is a need for research and consistency to build something in the long run.
However, in this post, I will show you 4 Google tools you can use to trigger the Google algorithm to favour you. And I will not only show you the tools, but I will also let you know how you can use them to drive traffic to your blog or website.
But before I continue, I would like you to know that as a blogger, you wouldn’t want to write because you feel like it. Yes, it is good to write about what you know but also better when you are writing something people are looking out for and willing to read. That is how you can be found.
These tools will also help you develop content ideas for any niche you are in.
Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner is a free tool in your Google ads account which helps you make keyword decisions. Read How to Use Google AdWords Keyword Planner for Free.
You can use a keyword planner to check the search volume of keywords by country and globally too. You can also discover trending keywords which would help inform your content decision.
With Google keyword planner, you can see other close keywords that you can develop the contents around. You see how people search the keywords you are searching for.
When your blog is still new without so much domain authority, it is better to go for medium to low competing keywords because you can easily rank for those keywords and be found.
Aside from the keyword you searched for, you can also see some related keywords to develop content on.
Google Trends
This is the second tool I will recommend for you. Even though this tool seems to be underutilized but it is powerful. Google trends help you understand the behaviour of searchers. You use Google Trends to discover the time in the year when your audience searches for a particular product or service and know when to write on some things.
However, some other searches are stable in the year. And Google Trends helps you know the search per country. What the search pattern is like.
You can also see some related keyword suggestions below your trend chart.
Google Search Suggestions
On the Google search box, when you type in a keyword. And even before you are done with that keyword, other related keyword suggestions will show up.
This likely tells you other things which people search that is related to the keyword you are searching for. This can inform your content decision and help you plan further.
Aside from the keyword you are searching for, you can do what I would call keyword word testing. That is typing a particular keyword and adding a suffix of all the alphabet from A to Z, to see what comes out when you add them. An example will be to type a keyword like ‘Health and A’, and a dropdown of all the words will be displayed.
This can help inform your content creation idea as well.
Related Searches
Whenever you do a search and open the first page of Google, you will see related searches at the bottom of the first page and sometimes in-between your suggested results. This also tells you the other type of things which people are looking for on Google.
You can observe them and write content around it as well.
Google platform is a big search pool where people are looking for solutions per second. And if you must provide a solution, you must understand the dynamics of Google before it favours you. It can be time and energy consuming, to begin with, but it is what the stress when you finally become visible — your visitors and income would be on auto-pilot.
