Google keyword planner helps you to get the right keywords for your ad campaigns and new keywords in your business. This helps you plan favourably with keywords as it will give you the costing of the keywords which you would like to rank for, and helps you to discover the latest keywords ranking for your business or niche.

Aside from the fact that Google AdWords planner can help your ads campaign, it is also a great tool for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

This is also a good tool to get content ideas and keep you abreast with the latest keywords which your target audience is currently searching for.

Often, this tool is found and can only be used when you need to run a campaign. However, this is an entirely free tool, but you would never know about it because of the subtle process to get to it.

Step-by-Step Guide on How you can use Google Keyword Planner without inputting your Credit Card details

First Step

Log into your Google ads account. Go to www.ads.google.com.

It will bring you to the homepage that will look like what we have below:

Click on “Start now” to proceed.

Second Step

At the bottom of the homepage, you will see a write-up asking, “Are you a professional marketer? Switch to Expert Mode”

Click on “Switch to Expert Mode”.

Third Step

The next page is the page that will present you with a campaign expectation. Whether you want more sales, leads, website traffic, and all.

Go to the bottom left of the page where you have a list of your campaign objectives, you would see “Create an account without a Campaign”.

Fourth Step

You will be brought to the next page where you will be asked to “Confirm your business information.”

Here you will find the Billing Country, Time zone, and Currency.

Click on “Submit” to proceed.

Fifth Step

You will be taken to the congratulatory page that will say, “Congrats! You’re all done”.

You will find a button with “Explore your account”. Click on it to proceed further.

You will be brought to your Google Ads dashboard.

At the top right corner of the dashboard, you will find a tool that looks like a spanner which is the Tools and settings option. Click on it and a drop-down list will appear.

The Keyword Planner is the last on the list. When you click on it, you will be taken to your Keyword Planner homepage. And you are ready to use Google keyword planner for free.
