Well, I have and I always do often. I don’t just end with Google front pages; I further move to YouTube to look out for the step-by-step proven methods to make money online, which most of the video titles have.
The good side of this is that it has motivated me to be an online hunter of the next best way to make money online. Yet, you can be lost and frustrated as a newbie on the internet space looking for the alternative ways to make passive income.
While the online space can become a limitless source of income, most of the claims and the so many ‘How to make money online therapists’ are bundles of lies and many tell you assertions and claims they have not tried out themselves.
The internet is just like an open market, without regulation or restrictions; anybody can come up with any content, and you are solely responsible for what you do with those contents without exceptions to this article you are reading now.
The trend of the ‘make money online’ starts with showing you some video or pictorial statistical results of earnings.
These images and videos often become the bait that keeps you glued to that page, only for you to discover after some couple of minutes spent that the content has no true guide which will reveal the step-by-step guide on how you can make money online.
I will tell you some things you need to know about making money on the internet which they will hardly share with you.
You would also need to know that there are people who are genuinely making it online and can help you earn at least your first $50 trying out the simple steps they show you — but there aren’t many of them.
My little heart-breaking story.
I saw this software which promises website and affiliate link traffic in three simple steps. I invested in this software after looking at some testimonials of people on their sales landing page.
I was emotionally triggered and did not do what the conventional me would do. I went ahead, purchased the software, just to find out that the software does not earn any star if I should rate it at all — it does nothing of the claims made which the software should do.
Prior to making that purchase, aside from what any sales landing page might say or the customers reviews of those who either purchased or tried out the services, I usually go to some reputable sites such as Capterra or ask about it on Quora. But I never made all those checks before I bought this software. I can’t even contact their customer support.
This is what you should know before searching for how to make money online.
1. Who is your target audience?
Like trying to figure out your conventional business behaviour, the same thing applies with internet business. You need to make out a plan and build strategies to actualize this plan.
You should know ‘who your target audience is’, ‘how to reach out to them’ and also ‘know what they are looking out for — there are behavioural responses’.
This will define your goal of making money online. But you need a cautious daily or weekly effort to come to this understanding.
Without getting before your target audience, you may never earn five cents on the internet, no matter how long you have been online without improved strategies.
The ‘make money online mongers’ will never address this concern. All they do many times is just to show you where you can earn the money but not the ‘how to earn it’.

Should I also refer to these secrets and tools as strategies? Yea, they are.

Having mentioned this, you also need to know that you don’t make money everywhere online.
You need to discover your strategies (which I may call secrets) and also invest in tools that can give you the leverage.
This is one key to make money online. But you may likely not hear or see that a lot.
Think of these secrets and tools this way.
A dentist who has all his tools but does not understand how the teeth are set and another dentist who has no tool but understands the setting and functions of the teeth.
Either of both would run into trouble and would never do the right thing at the right time.
Making money online is similar.
You need to understand the secrets which work best and stick to it.
3. Many options but nobody talks about the challenge
Many are not sincere enough to tell you that their dashboards, which have thousands of dollars, is not the same as the program which they are talking about.
Most of the platforms they recommend you to join they have never earned a dime from it. They do not understand how it works. This is because they were not accepted into the program.
Before you get excited to join a program that can make you money online, which they will introduce you to, check their registration and eligibility requirement page and also read up their ‘Terms and Condition’ page as well.
While most of these services may accept you as someone who is just starting and looking for new ways to make money online, there are other services looking out for people who have built medium to large social profile before they can accept you into their programs.
This is the part most people in the make money online niche would never tell you when they are doing their reviews.
You would never know of these challenges until you try.
Another of such are some hidden charges or terms that may not also go well with you.
Check out for these things. Especially if you are investing in that system or want to join their Affiliate program.
4. There is work needed
You need to be patient and work it out. Those earnings would likely not happen overnight. But will eventually if you keep trying.
Some strategies and work you put in may fail. But you gain experience.
What you earn is measurable by the efforts you put in. The difference is that when you promote your service, products or Affiliate links, you are reaching out to different people and getting multiple responses.
But you need to observe these responses and adjust or improve accordingly.
5. You wouldn’t start with earning what they show you
While you see so many huge claims of hundreds or even thousands of dollars earned, one thing you need to know is that your earnings as a newbie who just started out will never get to that. It is not impossible to earn hundreds or even thousands of dollars as a newbie who just began in few days or weeks (that’s where your secrets and tools come in), but you need to keep yourself within reality check.
If you do the work and earn anything between $50 to $500 for a start. You are doing well and on a path to success if you build on it.
Why I say you cannot earn the amount of those who genuinely earned what they show you got is this:
· They have the audience: Some of them over time have built enormous fan base online. And gotten trust from so many of them. In a day, they can earn a thousand dollars once they drop a product using their mediums.
You ask yourself, “how much of this audience do you have?” That’s how they are likely to make all those sales they come to show you.
· They pay what you can’t on ads (tool): Their income online is big enough to have a good budget to run ads across different platforms. You who are just starting out may not have that money to spend to get similar results.
You don’t have to compare your earnings with them who use targeted traffic to you who may look for free traffic sources. You would obviously do more work.
Ads brings faster conversion than the organic process. You need to know this too.
While there is no contention to how much you can make your recurring passive or active income from the internet space, most of the reviews you would see out there on how to make money online are either half truth or false claims.
