Making money hasn’t been as easy as it is now; anybody and everybody could be financially free without a regular 8–5 job. Even from your bed and in your shorts, you can make money that will pay your bills, and the good thing is that it doesn’t have to be born out of long years of effort.
With the internet, it has got a lot easier to make money from home.
However, you still need to do some due diligence as you will need to, first of all, be knowledgeable, have a little skill (not so much but at least believing the one you have), and be ready to build and learn. I don’t freak people out with the unlimited amount you can make from the internet because it is something gradual and you won’t start making all the money from your first day or even a few months.
Here I want to show some things you can do online that can earn you legitimate money without you going anywhere and at any time the money keeps trickling in.
Earning online could start as a side hustle for you while you build it into a full-time means of living, but never quit your regular job if you are yet to master some of the skills you need to get it done.
But remember, you need commitment, time, patience, and sometimes a few funds before you can start making something out of the internet.

Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is global and it is worth over $12 billion dollars this shows you that there I something for you when you understand it and tap into how it works.
Basically, what is affiliate marketing all about? This is the business of you connecting business owners to customers who need their services or products. The good thing is that you are not doing that for free, you are earning a commission for this service.
All you need is a visible online presence like having a strong social media presence to share your idea, owning a website or a YouTube channel, or even leveraging on other people’s followership. But do not worry, if you don’t have a blog yet.
There are so many platforms out there where you can get affiliate products and some of them are Digistore24, cj.com, JVzoo, NutriProfits, Expertnaire, Click Bank, and the list is endless.
You can also do a search on companies or products that offers affiliate marketing in a particular area.
Freelancing
Another cool way to make money from the internet is through freelancing.
Freelancers are those whose services and engagements are required from time to time for a particular task or a job — they are not engaged on a full-time basis. Freelancing is a form of a contract job.
People are offering a lot of freelancing services as they are tired of being tied to a scheduled routine and most cases ‘not so good work environment. And freelancing is one thing you can do from your space and at a good time. Depending on the agreement you have with your client.
There are so many services you can render as a freelancer even with a skillset of a beginner to that of an expert. And it can be from a more technical task to something as simple as to Google search (this is a skill though).
The good thing is that you are being paid for what you love to do and not always what you have to attain a professional certification before you can deliver on that.
You can become a freelance writer, ghostwriter, or YouTube scriptwriter, and you name the services.
Platforms, where you can offer freelance services, are Fiverr, Upwork, People per Hour, Facebook groups, and direct e-mailing to your target clients.
Blogging
Blogging is quite popular but still not old with the opportunity it avails you to earn with.
A niche targeted blog is all you need. What is a niche? A niche is a particular area of people’s interest. If you can provide solutions, bring suggestions and introduce them to new products and/or services or entirely new ways of how things can be done through writing, then you are blogging already.
You can monetize your blog through sponsored ads, selling courses, affiliate marketing, or flipping the blog when you have built it to a reasonable extent.
Aside from these ways I mentioned, people can contact you for guest posting or freelance writing and you charge them for this.
If you don’t want to go through the stress of owning and renewing hosting services, you can choose to own a space on platforms like Medium.
You can also amplify your voice too through Quora spaces.
These platforms would help you build an audience who will be willing to buy into your offer in the future.
YouTubing
Before you get too scared about video production just wait for a little while.
You may know YouTube as a platform for instructional or tutorial videos, skit videos, music videos, and even movies. And you may be thinking ‘how and where do I even start from?’
A couple of years back I felt the same way and was never considering YouTubing as something I would want to engage in even though I knew the earning power.
My fear was a good camera to make a video and all, but the truth is, you can start with a faceless YouTube channel, especially if your video is educative.
Aside from getting monetized through Google AdSense, you can add affiliate marketing by doing a product review or the ‘how to’ kind of videos.
Companies in your niche can reach out to you to talk about their products and also pay you when you review them.
And you can do the next thing I am about to mention which is using your channel to sell your courses.
Sales of E-books and/or Courses
When I mention e-books or courses, it shouldn’t be something very technical or outrightly new. And you don’t have to start from scratch, you may choose to outsource the writing or use free PLR content for your book. Make a few adjustments and personalize the work. Then you can earn from it.
Z-library and Free PLR downloads have many contents you can make yours.
As simple as knowing how to use a smartphone is enough skill to monetize and get people to pay for it.
And the best way to strategize this is to put your course for an amount that is not expensive, especially when you are not so known yet and you get recurring buyers as long as it is affordable.
If you have the knowledge of ads and have a little budget, you can run targeted adverts and build an audience so you can sell your courses.
It may be audio, text, or video courses. And it doesn’t cost much to develop.
Social Media Ads
This will not really pay you in terms of digital money, but it can pay you through having a community (individuals, corporations, companies) of people who are willing to pay for your services to manage their accounts and run ads for them.
Social media marketing is one thing that is undeniable a ‘hot cake skill’ and the market is very large.
Having this skill can help you build your own audience and you keep cashing out passively.
None of these opportunities mentioned will give you instant money, you have to work it out. But the good thing with making money online is that it does not stop any of your other paying job(s).
